The scent of prepubescent girls are in the air, and you know what that means: FAN SERVICE! Yes, not even another season and the gang are back at the beach doing what girls do best: being lazy! Our new recruit Azu-nyan is worried once again, cause she knows exactly what they’re getting into. Not only will they not practice, they’ll make a bunch of lame jokes about her too, and thats no joke! Ui shows her the bright side by saying “My sister feels warm and fuzy, right?”. Her response: Well, I haven’t had the chance to feel on your hawt sister, but I’ll definitely put that on my to do list “-_-”
Believe it or not, Azusa was right. They all go to the mall and shop for swimsuits (another thing that girls do btw), and once again, Azusa hisses like a duck. Mio, the healthiest girl of the bunch, tells her that they also need to relax (its what girls do), but it has to be on the beach, cause girls like beaches. Azusa willingly agrees, because its common for high school students to follow the girl with the biggest jugs, cause that’s what girls do in highschool: they all listen to the girl with the biggest jugs.
Now that they’re finally at the beach, they can finally make some lame movie references while having fun, cause girls just wanna have fun! Azusa is still abit hissy about this, but she learns to lighten up a bit, or should I say: darken down a notch? (don’t worry, I slapped myself after typing that)
After play-time, they finally do some practicing, and Azusa is finally satisfied. This is short lived when they make some rice balls, play with fireworks, have a test of courage, find Sawako Sensei dead on the dirt, and take a bath while re-enacting Shin-chan. Thankfully, Azusa is not the only one who wants to practice, cause believe it or not (believe it), Yui also wants to practice some more. Azusa realizes that Yui is not a complete ditz, she just a girl who wants to have fun (and practice).
Impression:
What?! I have my own tea set and I’m not rich!… but that doesn’t matter! Sexist comments aside, I loved this episode… just like I loved the other beach episode… Seriously, I know that there’s a new character in this show, but we don’t have to replay everything for her! Mikoto probably puts it better than I can, but either way, I still loved this episode. I guess I’m a sucker for tan-girls.
Some tiny trinkets I liked were Azusa crossing the street. Although she’s supposed to look left/right and then left/right again, she still seemed pretty cute. Lets just ignore the fact that she was doing this while crossing the street.
Next episode should be butter, because I have some fond memories of fixing my instrument.
Fan Sketch:
Mugi was also very cute in this episode, so here’s to all thick-brow fans (click for enlargement)

Hmm, i thought the yacht scene with Ritsu and Yui resembled Titanic and not Toy Story.
Jesus159159159 said,
June 6, 2009 @ 11:28 am
Yes! And thats whats so funny about this, because in that pic I managed to continue the Titanic reference while adding another one! In Titanic (for those who don’t know) there’s a scene where Jack holds…that girl just like depicted in that scene above, but there’s also a scene where Jack draws that girl naked (this is what Ritsu is referring to). As you can see, I made it so Ritsu is touching Yui improperly and made a tiny pun with the “Yu and i” because “Yu” and “i” make “Yui”, but they also sound like “You” and “I”.
Originally, I didn’t have the Toy Story reference, but when I saw the resemblance (and also to make Yui look more stupid for not understanding the Titanic reference), I couldn’t leave it out! Yes, I do feel bad for mixing Toy Story into my perverted puns, but… yea, I’m a bad person =(

lets all ignore the fact that I didn’t draw the keys for the keyboard. I’d usually go all out on these things. For instance, there would HAVE to be 41 keys like the original but then I would have to scale the keyboard correctly and that would take waaay too much time, also, I’m ZEE-LAY lazyYou’re actually the first person to compliment me on the sketches. I was starting to worry if people found them crappy or distracting. Thx, and I’ll continue to improve my skillz =3

What? So someone akshully (or rather, act-shy-lie *BA DUM PSH*) does read the post and didn’t just click on the links or check out the sketch? *huggles*
Yea, while I was writing the post, I was thinking, “err, Azu-nyan is in her first year of HS… that would make the others a lot older…” but then I thought I needed to make the post a little more jazzy, feelin’ me? Like this *plays his rubber band and balloon instruments* OH YAY OH YAY!!! *air guitar*
So everyone loves prepubes right? And you probably (or rather, lee-bahb-pro *BA DUM PSH*) checked out the post just for that word, you loli-loli you! PUT IT THERE PAL!
btw, its great to have you comment =D Your comment will also be hung right next to my Pokemon Master Degree!
(oh and to answer your question, even though you didn’t really ask it, I am older than them. This coming *hyuk* fall will be my second year in college!)

Dude why do you even bother looking when you cross the street? When you stand in the middle and a van runs the red light, its over for you whether you looked or not! Besides, which car won’t stop for tanned AzuNyan?
Jesus159159159 said,
June 8, 2009 @ 3:31 pm
Hmm, I guess you’ve made your point, BUT lets not forgot that not only did she cross the street in her tanned version, she also crossed the street tan-less at the beginning of the episode! Surely not everyone would stop for a non-tanned Azu… oh who am I kidding? Cars would stop for both versions! =3
On a side note, I used to live in the ghettos, so I have a big pet-peeve for people who cross when cars are passing. Seriously, how the hell do you keep crossing on a green light/in the middle of the street when its rush hour/not looking AT ALL. These people think they’re cars themselves, and thats what I really hate. And its worse when kids want to act cool too and follow what the adults are doing. Have they no shame? I can understand those who ride their bike in the middle of the street (although I’m not sure if you’re supposed to), but just walking on the street, blocking all the cars, and acting like you’re a car yourself? Give me a break! *eats a Kit-Kat bar*
…so yea, sorry for the tiny rant, but I hope now you see why I love Azu-nyan so much :3

Regarding your Pizza Karton Five Tube spam, they were clearly referring this, too:
youtube.com/watch?v=YoNNU1uawj0
Which by pure coincident has some Pizzicato Five vibe, in my very pure opinion. Wow, it’s been a long time since P5 was top of the crop. Nowadays it’s all about multi-core. So sad. Jay would agree.

And I am terribly sorry! *hands Kurisu cheezburger* so… could you put that engagement ring back on? =D

Thanks, and of course! I gotta get as much hits as I can =D
(speaking of deviantART, just to let others know, I probably won’t have any of my original stuff up there, and only fan-sketches/art from different anime/manga. I’m too paranoid to post my original content =/)
TJ said,
June 9, 2009 @ 12:10 am
Yeah, i’ve heard there is a problem with art getting ripped off in deviantART. But for me, a guy who only managed to generate a meager 2200 page loads in almost 4 years, I don’t think anyone is going to bother ripping off my stuff lol. I might think differently if I suddenly got popular hahahaha.
Kurisu said,

It’s always funny for me to see how some fansub consumers and people who decorate their blogs with ripped content or base it completely on it are worried about getting ripped off.
Jesus159159159 said,
June 9, 2009 @ 2:26 pm
I find it funny too! *ba dum psh*… hey, wait a second! D:
But either way, its not like I’m telling everyone I own the rights/created Minami (from Lucky Star) or any of the characters I draw here (opps, guess I didn’t say who the original copyright owners are, but I labeled it as “fanart” on my deviantART page, so it shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll probably update the pages though). Besides, this is an anime blog, in which I review/make summaries for anime shows, so its pretty important that I have pictures from the show. In order to get more readers, they have to see that this is an anime blog, and the best way (or a really good way) to do that is to have anime characters pasted everywhere! Heck, as much as I want to have my big booty on the front page, I can’t. Okay, I could, its definitely possible, but I would be getting readers for the wrong reasons! *ba dum psh*
You do make a point Kurisu, but I don’t think you understand how it feels to have your characters/ideas taken away from you, because it happened to me many times. I have quite a few ideas for comics/animation that I plan to use when I get into the industry, so I can’t jeopardize that, especially when these ideas/characters are very fleshed out. I care alot for my creations, but unfortunately I have to keep them locked away for now. They will see the light, but only when its their time. (also cause my art skills are not up-to-par with my creations unfortunately
)
(btw, the people who are subscribed to this post must be really annoyed by the comments XD I apologize!)

If I’m on the shoulders of giants, how the hell do I get trampled on? ;3 (unless the giants themselves smack me off… but I can recover with my JET(s)-engine… okay, I’ll stop)
I get what you mean and I’ll keep this short: I don’t mind others trampling on me, it happens to everyone, but I also have to defend myself.

You can make up for it by watching the J-mercials, and weaving in references to the products in the review.
Jebus951951951:
“Blah blah blah something funny blah blah Yui blah Mugi, BUY THE FUCKING POCKY YOU FREELOADING SHITS! Blah blah blah…”
Man, the producers would be really proud of you.

I put too many references as it is! Its all in good fun though =3 (also, I see what you did there with the “951″. People usually copy and paste my name cause they can never spell nor type all of it, and it appears at least you tried
@ Gargron:
Not only fanservice, but TAN-SERVICE! *Yui air guitar*. And thanks for the compliment =3
@ Kurisu:
One “tan” reference is good enough! (also, next episode she should be back to normal, so Azu-tan is no more D:) and wait what? Now that I think about it…YOU WATCH K-ON?!?! OH MAN!!! Would have never guessed!
Kurisu said,

You must be confusing me with Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles. Trust me, I don’t play any instruments but I certainly sawed this. I wasn’t trying to be witty unlike a certain someone who shall not be named in the name of oh wait I said not.
Anyway, you might be aware that Azu-nyan was an in-game nickname, so Azu-tan would have been in-line with that. See, I’m not so fond of Azu-nyan but Azu-tan totally convinced me of the dark side. It probably reminded me of deep fried, delicious brown chick skin. That has always been my favourite part to NOM on.
Black hair, red shirt (oooh dangerous!), red guitar that just fits perfectly with her deep fried – I mean tanned – skin. Totally worth risking skin cancer for. Ozone layer my ass so to say. NUMA NUMA YEAH!
